Performance of the local folklore such as Minangkabau dances and musics, randai (typical Minangkabau opera are performed by some regional artists) these shows can be seen in some kampungs in Padng Culture Park. Live music, karaoke is performed in Bumi Minang Club at Bumi Minang Hotel, Rocky Plaza Hotel, Dipo Hotel and Pangeran’s Club at Pangeran Beach Hotel. Some discotheques like Lucky Music Room, Maritim Music Room, Minang Plaza, and President Music Room also run late into the night. Many cinemas show Indonesia, Mandarin, Indian and western movies starting from 5.00pm untill 11.00pm (3 showing times).
